Hi, I’m Jamie! Or Jay if you’d like.

I am 22 years old and I am from a small farming community in South Africa. I recently graduated from Stellenbosch University with a BCom degree and I have two certificates in Digital Marketing. Currently, I am trying to figure out “where to next”.

A few of my favourite things are: sunsets, car rides, dogs, the colour yellow, laughing and my family/friends. I get way too invested in series/movies and I like to think I am a pro in memes/gifs. I am a Christian on my adventure with Jesus.

I’ve always been a deep thinker (enneagram type 4 anyone?) and so I decided to utilise this by creating a blog to share my thoughts and feelings

About Just Jay

Just Jay is a lifestyle blog covering a range of different topics. From my favourite books, recipes and makeup tips to posts about my personal journey, life and all its intricacies – I want my content to be real, authentic and relatable.

The name “Just Jay” essentially represents what the blog is – just me writing what is on my heart. The sunflower represents nourishment, continuous growth and following the sun while it blossoms.

I hope to nourish my readers with content that promotes growth and helps you to bloom towards the sun. After all, you have to nourish yourself to grow and after growth comes the blossoming.

Just Jay is an outlet for my deep thinking, my sarcastic sense of humour and my passions. It is a way for me to share tips and tricks I have found to work and recommend things that I think are helpful for getting through life.
