September Favourites

We have finished another month off which means it is time for another favourites. These 5 things have been in my daily reach this whole September.

1. ‘Maybe in another life’ – taylor jenkins reid

If you are looking for a new book recommendation – you found it. This book has been one of my favourite new finds. If you want an easy yet compelling read, I highly recommend. This book is all about how one choice/decision in our lives can lead us down totally different paths with different consequences. It touches on the topic of soulmates and how our choices actually shape us. I wasn’t able to put this book down as I had to keep reading to see what happened. This book is like a rom-com movie in book form – definitely check this one out if that sounds like something up your alley.

2. Matrix total results texture games

I featured this product in my current hair care blog post but it has to feature as a favourite because I use it everyday. It helps maintain my wavy hair and add a lovely texture to my curls. It also leaves my hair smelling amazing.

3. Estee lauder double wear foundation

I restocked on my favourite foundation and I am so happy I did. I have been using this foundation for about 4 years now and I ALWAYS buy a new one when I finish one. It is a full coverage foundation, easy to blend out and lasts SO long (also – I can attest that it is mask proof!). It works well with my dry skin and I just find that it creates a flawless base. Also, if you order directly from the website – you get a free pump with it which is a bonus!

4. clinique moisture surge

For my dry skin people out there – this is a huge recommendation. I use this mainly as a primer before I apply my foundation as I find it helps my foundation look dewy and fresh and helps prevent my dry skin from flaking underneath. I sometimes use it as an alternative to my night cream and love to use it as a mask – I apply a thicker layer to my face and don’t rub it in, I just let it sit and absorb. It definitely hydrates my skin and leaves me with fresh, dewy skin.

5. real techniques expert face brush

I have had this brush for years now, and I mainly use beauty sponges now, but something made me reach for it again recently. I am so glad I did. I forgot how beautifully this brush applies foundation. It buffs foundation in smoothly and blends out concealer well. It is easy to use and because it is a dense brush, it blends your foundation in instead of streaking it around your face. It is on the more pricey side but you will not regret adding this to your brush collection.

new month, new favourites

That is my top 5 for September. I hope you all had an amazing month and are ready for October. Here is to a new month discovering new things.

What have been the highlights of your September?

All the love, Jay.
